Mariazell (58 km)

But the path is already the target:
The ride in the winter by beautiful weather is a dream. The bus driver can have free-day - if desired. Then you can ride favourable in both directions to the nostalgic train.
Attention: from Mariazell station is approximately 20 minutes walk to the center. There is at the train station a bus which drives to the center.

St. Pölten (27 km) - state capital:

• City Museum – a very lively museum especially the natural division with the fish tanks, etc.
• Oldest town in Austria - a Roman foundation
• The Baroque town: Jakob Prandtauer, the builder of Melk, was the city architect of St. Pölten. He left numerous baroque marks on the city.

Monastery in Lilienfeld (17 km):

• Gothic Cistercian Abbey which is not baroque "dirty".
• The guide in the monastery is worth seeing; Duration is about 1 hour 20 minutes.

Lilienfeld is the cradle of Alpine ski sport:

• The "inventor" will be honored at the City Museum. Mathias Zdarsky was the pioneer of the alpine ski sport - e.g .: organized the first Alpine giant slalom at 5.3. 1905 (!). You can find a model of this course in the museum. [4]

Crockery museum in Wilhelmsburg (21 km): Wonderful collection of Lilienporzellan. Exhibition and coffee house operation. It is served in the old historical mugs!

In the Hotel

Cooky baking: One afternoon or evening we can bake cookies together. They work like granny´s recipes for each of the participating.

Most Test:

Guiding in Kirchberg center (2.5 km - possible to go on foot) through Josef Scharf. Duration 1.5 hours. Contents: Stories and interesting facts about the town.
